Maths and Science at The Curve Garden

Year 2 have been learning about describing, identifying and classifying 3D shapes. We had fun sorting shapes and comparing their properties, as well as trying to build towers from them. We noticed that shapes with more flat faces are easier to build with.  We were so impressed by the children's use of mathematical language.

As part of our Science learning about growing plants, we visited the Curve Garden, where we had a great time hunting for various plants. We were able to tick off all the plants on the list!

Some of us really enjoyed smelling the plants and discussing why we see certain flowering plants in spring time. A huge thank you to the parents who came along with us!
